An oldie, from 2010, by more pertinent by the day. Lots of quotes, from the “movers and shakers”, and a good response.
I’m opposed to Dominionism, the belief that we can somehow “win back the country/world” for Jesus. That is anti-Biblical. There is no politician, religious persona or group, that is going to be able to do that. People that are working for that type of system are serving a different Jesus. He doesn’t need us to “get it all ready for Him”, He is quite capable of doing that on his own, and He will. Beware of that movement.
Bro. Bryan quotes this at the end, Psalm 2. I can no longer listen to or endorse Kent Hovind due to the spiritual turn for the worse that he has taken, but I remember him calling that verse “The Great Tranquilizer”, and I do agree.
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
